JR Planning have recently been successful obtaining permission for a new dwelling via the planning appeal process.

The proposal, which was designed by Brightman Clarke Architects, attracted local opposition and the Council refused the original application citing concerns relating to design and impact on neighbouring properties

Following instructions from our client we prepared a comprehensive appeal statement which clearly demonstrated that the Council had reached a flawed decision. Our work set out the clear arguments in favour of the scheme and the Inspector’s decision concurred with our analysis of the proposal. The Inspector agreed with our assessment and concluded that the “…proposal presents an attractive and innovative design solution that would sit comfortably on its site and successfully integrate with its host environment”.

This is another example which highlights the importance of considered and well-informed professional advice. If you have a site where you have received a recent refusal, or have had problems obtaining permission in the past, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will advise on your options moving forwards.
